I offer support for a wide range of issues relating to children’s family life, social interactions, and school life. I work with families who find themselves confronted with transition, grief and loss, school challenges, anxiety, depression, as well as strength based support for neurodivergent children.

Humanistic Therapy is the foundation of my therapeutic work. This strength based approach centered on the relationship between the therapist and the client, focuses on helping people achieve their potential by becoming more self aware and accepting of themselves. With the understanding that facilitating personal growth and understanding of self will reduce feelings of distress, increase well being and enable clients to cope.

Expressive Arts Therapy incorporates multiple senses in order to explore a child’s inner and outer world through the experience and creation of different art forms. My role is to facilitate communication of feelings through the process of creating art in order to clarify and shed light on the issues under exploration.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a skills based therapeutic intervention focusing on the interaction between thoughts, and emotions and behaviors. CBT interventions for children and adolescents focus on teaching specific skills to address a challenge they are facing. CBT differs from other approaches by placing emphasis on the manner in which a child or adolescent’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected and affect one another. It is this perspective that children can gain a greater understanding of them selfs, others and world around them. Please note that I do not use any compliance based behavioral interventions in my CBT apporaches.
